My words are for whoever needs them.
I am excited to officially announce that Memoirs of a Happy Black Girl (MHBG) now has a Journal available for purchase on >>> Amazon !!
I created this journal because the practice of journaling has been helpful to me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I had several journals that I wrote in daily, as a means to channel my thoughts, even if they were just about the puppy I visited at the shelter that day or a boy I had a crush on at school. As I got older, I continued to journal more complex and difficult feelings to process, disappointments or just feeling misunderstood. It was where I manifested every goal I aspired to achieve, my career path and even the marriage I have today. I was able to release without judgment, look back at how far God has brought me and re-channel any negative self talk. At that time, therapy wasn’t common practice, so introspection was my catharsis. That is what writing is for me. I never saw it as a profession but simply as a means to encourage someone else, while also overcoming my own personal battles. My words are for whoever needs them.
This journal is for:
The womxn who struggles with vulnerability.
The womxn who is learning to trust again.
The womxn who wants to feel heard.
The womxn who struggles with motivation.
The womxn with an unpopular opinion.
This isn’t a workbook but a “free-thought journal”. I didn’t want to tell anyone what to think or how to think about what they are dealing with but to simply motivate writing without judgment. Every featured quote has uplifted me on my own self-love journey. I have placed an index in the back to encourage thought on the days that the flow isn’t so easy.
Feel free to cut out and frame the quotes and hang them as daily reminders around your space. (As shown in video)
Journal Features:
• a personal note from me
• personal quotes & affirmations
• a space for gratitude
• a space for intention setting
• lined free writing space
• an index in the back the motivate or provoke thought
I hope you enjoy!
From my heart to yours xo,
Brea L. Perry (Memoirs of a Happy Black Girl)
